Unique Thames Hand Painted Japanese 17 Piece Moriage Yellow Dragonware Tea Set with Caddy: Teapot, Sugar Bowl, Creamer, Cups and Saucers.

This is pre-owned fine china and shows wear expected for its age. Some of the paint, design and gold gilting has worn off but as you can see from the pictures, the pieces are still impressive.

There is no crazing or cracks, there are fleabites, minor chips, light pattern and moriage wear.

Circa: 1950s

As I was handwashing these pieces, I was amazed at the raised details on the dragons (you can see scales, hair, whiskers, tongue, fangs and claws). This set draws you in with its design and beauty.

Please review the photos carefully, enlarge, and ask any questions. The set does show wear appropriate for its age, light pattern and moriage wear.

These items are not microwavable or dishwasher safe and will require gentle handwashing.

The teapot/coffee pot is approximately 7 inches tall without the lid (the handle being the tallest point), with the lid it is approximately 8 inches tall. Diameter is approximately, at its widest point, 4 1/2 inches. There is a chip on the lid but it is barely noticeable and as stated above it shows wear expected for its age.

The creamer, is approximately 4 inches tall, with the spout being the tallest point, and is approximately 3 inches in diameter. There are no chips but the dragon is missing an eye, as stated above it shows wear expected for its age.

The sugar bowl is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall with the lid and is approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Please see the photo above of the just the sugar bowl, it does have 3 minor chips, 2 white spots by the one handle and a chip on the gold around the rim, look for the small white spot.

There are 6 demitasse cups, they are approximately 2 1/4 inches tall and are approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The cups, in general, are in good shape, some flea bites, light pattern and moriage wear.

The 6 saucers are approximately 5 inches in diameter. Please see the close up of the saucer photo. The saucers, in general, are in good shape, light pattern and moriage wear.

The cups and saucers can be stored on the carrying cady, which is approximately 12 1/2 inches long and is approximately 9 1/2 inches tall. The caddy does show show tarnishing.

These items will be shipped insured, if your item is damaged, please keep the box, packing material and item for the claim process.
